About Sicily
My homeland and its culture has always thrilled and fascinated me: few years ago, as a student in Amsterdam, I started exploring folk and traditional music from Sicily.
As jazz and improvised music offer a unique ground to blend different elements together, I couldn’t resist the idea of re-imagining the sounds of the island from my perspective.

Quartet and small ensembles
Playing in smaller ensembles allows the players a certain creative freedom that it is difficult to achieve in other formats.
I have been putting some effort lately into it: this has resulted in a new release, titled Like Splashing in the Ocean, published by Fresh Sound New Talent and featuring a great band including Santi de la Rubia on saxophone, Jaume Llombart on guitar and Roger Gutiérrez on drums.

Fluid Collective
Fluid Collective is music, visuals, improvisation, a way of shaping sounds and concepts. It is an open group of people, drawing inspiration from different genres and different arts.
With a long and diverse background, this project has been active since my studies at Berklee College of Music.
